Why I Built Pleezo: Why Should Marketing Automation Cost $3 a Day?

Why I Built Pleezo: Why Should Marketing Automation Cost $3 a Day?

    By Raphi Salem

    I have a confession.

When I launched Pleezo.com, I immediately started watching the traffic.

    Of course I did.

I've been doing digital marketing since 1997.

Watching traffic is what we do.

    And something interesting happened.

Within the first 24 hours, approximately 30 visits showed up.

    Twenty-four from the United States.

Six from outside the United States.

    And my immediate reaction wasn't:

    “Wow! We got 30 visitors!”

    It was:

    “WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?”

Were they people? Were they bots? Was Google crawling the site? Did an AI platform find it? Did someone post the URL somewhere? Did somebody send it to a friend? Did someone search for Pleezo?

    I don't know.

And honestly, I LOVE that I don't know yet.

    Because that's marketing.

What happens when nearly 30 years of marketing experience meets AI?

That's really what Pleezo is about.

I've spent nearly three decades watching digital marketing evolve.

I've seen the early search engines.

I've watched Google transform the way people find businesses.

I've watched SEO become an industry.

I've watched social media become an industry.

I've watched businesses move from websites to mobile to apps to video.

And now we're watching AI fundamentally change how people discover information.

But there is another change happening that I think is just as important.

AI can actually do some of the work.

Not just tell you what to do.

    Actually help do it.

    That's where Pleezo comes in.

So why does marketing automation cost so much?

    Let's be fair.

There are plenty of marketing automation platforms.

Some are very sophisticated. Some have dozens—or hundreds—of features. Some are designed for large companies. Some are built for agencies. Some integrate with everything imaginable.

And some of them are very good.

I'm not here to say otherwise.

But I've been asking a different question:

Do you need all of that?

    Because there's a difference between:

“This software can do 100 things.”

    and

    “I need these five things.”

Those aren't necessarily the same thing.

    The Rolls-Royce versus Subaru argument

Years ago, some of my business colleagues and I used to talk about the difference between a Rolls-Royce and a Subaru.

They're both cars. They both get you somewhere. But they're obviously not the same.

The Rolls-Royce offers luxury, sophistication, comfort and prestige.

    The Subaru offers something different.

And if you're driving through snow, you might be very happy with that Subaru.

    So which is better?

    That's not really the question.

    The question is:

    Which one do you need?

That's how I think about software.

There are marketing platforms that do more than Pleezo. I know that.

There are platforms with features Pleezo doesn't have. I know that too.

And there are businesses that absolutely need those features. Great.

But if you're a small business, professional, entrepreneur, local business, website owner or even a growing marketing team, maybe you don't need 150 features.

Maybe you need to get your marketing done.

That's why Pleezo starts at less than $1 a day

The Basic Pleezo plan is $29 per month.

    That's approximately 97 cents a day.

For that, you can create one full article per day, connect your website, publish or schedule content, track keywords, import Search Console data and participate in Pleezo's backlink exchange workflow.

And then we added two more levels.

    Basic — $29/month

    1 article per day.

For the business that wants to establish a consistent content rhythm.

    Pro — $49/month

Up to 3 articles per day.

For businesses managing more content, multiple sites or several campaigns.

    Scale — $99/month

Up to 10 articles per day.

For agencies and teams doing multi-client or high-volume publishing.

The core tools remain the same. The primary difference is how much content you want to produce each day.

    That's intentional.

I don't want to create a pricing maze where you have to decode 47 different checkboxes to figure out what you're actually buying.

Is Pleezo the Rolls-Royce of marketing automation?

    Probably not.

And I'm perfectly okay with that.

Pleezo isn't trying to be everything to everybody.

It's trying to do something very specific:

Make recurring digital marketing activity easier to execute.

    Write. Publish. Track. Build. Repeat.

The website keeps its context. The article has its topic. The keyword stays connected. The publishing workflow stays connected. The tracking stays connected. The backlink process stays connected.

Instead of jumping between a dozen tabs, Pleezo brings those pieces together.

And I'm not trying to replace the human

    This is important.

I don't want Pleezo to simply spit out content and publish it blindly.

You should be able to review it. Edit it. Approve it. Decide when it goes live. And decide which backlink opportunities actually make sense.

    AI is the engine.

    You're still the driver.

    Then there's RankMyMarketing

This is where I think the Salem Digital ecosystem gets really interesting.

    We built RankMyMarketing.com to answer:

    How is my marketing doing?

It looks at marketing readiness, technical SEO and AI visibility.

    Pleezo answers the next question:

Okay. What are we going to do about it?

    So:

RankMyMarketing = Diagnose. Pleezo = Execute.

    That's the relationship.

    And the long-term cycle becomes:

    Measure → Identify → Create → Publish → Track → Improve → Repeat.

Or, as I like to say:

Know what to fix. Then Pleezo it.

Pleezo is intentionally positioned as the execution engine beside RankMyMarketing.

So am I hurting my own market by charging less?

This is the philosophical question I've been asking myself.

If other companies charge $99 a month—or $3 a day—and I can offer a useful marketing automation platform starting at less than $1 a day...

Am I hurting the market? Am I leaving money on the table? Am I being selfish? Or am I helping create a larger market?

    I don't have a scientific answer.

But I have a business philosophy.

I'd rather have more people using useful marketing technology than fewer people because they can't afford it.

Maybe that's naive. Maybe it's not.

But after nearly 30 years in this business, I think there is still room for products that say:

You don't have to spend a fortune to market yourself online.

And now I'm curious about something else

How did those first visitors find Pleezo?

    Seriously.

If you visited Pleezo during those first 24 hours, I want to know.

    Did you:

    • Search Google?
    • Ask ChatGPT?
    • See it on LinkedIn?
    • See it on Facebook?
    • Get an email?
    • Hear about it from someone?
    • Find it through RankMyMarketing?
    • Type Pleezo.com directly into your browser?
    • Or are you a bot crawling the web?

    I'm genuinely curious.

Because if there is one thing nearly 30 years in digital marketing has taught me, it's this:

Traffic is interesting. Knowing where the traffic came from is much more interesting.

And knowing why someone came is even more valuable.

    Pleezo is officially live

    Pleezo isn't a theory anymore.

    It's live. It's available. It's being used.

And now we're going to find out what happens when you take nearly 30 years of digital marketing experience, combine it with AI, connect the repetitive pieces of content marketing, and make it available starting at less than a dollar a day.

Maybe Pleezo will be the Subaru. Maybe some people will still want the Rolls-Royce.

    That's okay.

The point isn't to convince everyone that they need the same thing.

The point is to give businesses another choice.

Pleezo. Please the AI. Please the people.

And maybe... please your wallet, too.
